FAQs

Q: What happens if I blow a tire? Will the good tire go flat?
A: No, the Crossfire will shut off at 5 to 6 pounds under the rated PSI.

Q: What is the difference between the Crossfire and your competitors?
A: The Crossfire shows over-inflation, as well as under-inflation.

Q: Why is it that when I drive for a while, the Crossfire reads red, but I started it was yellow?
A: When you drive, the friction heats up the tires and causes the air to expand. When it cools, it will read yellow.

Q: If the Crossfire reads black, which one of the tires is low?
A: If you put an air gauge on the Crossfire when it is black, it will read the outside tire.

Q: Does the Crossfire add air to the tires?
A: No, the Crossfire only equalizes the air that is already in the tire.

Q: Does the Crossfire throw off the tire balance?
A: No, the Crossfire is mounted to the axle, not the tire.

Q: I have an RV with simulators.  Can I mount the Crossfire to them?
A: No, we currently do not have a method to mount to simulators.

Q: Can I use tire balance powder with the Crossfire?
A: Yes, if you use the Valve Stem filters.

Q: Can I turn the display on the Crossfire to line it up with the hoses?
A: No, this will cause leaks and it will change the calibration of the Crossfire.

Q: Can I run less air in the Crossfire than what it says on the display?
A: No, the Crossfire will shut off and will not equalize the tires.

Q: Can I run more air in the Crossfire than what it says on the display?
A: Yes, you will have to verify the PSI with a tire gauge, but it will not harm the Crossfire.
